This is a sync api that can be called to initiate a sync between things like SQL data and the datalake
Normal sync is done to a schdule coded into the service on the server
This is a multipurpose api whose main job is to bring data in from the S3 buckets process it and put into the datalake.
It also has some reporting endpoints, and a basic VAST repoting feature for tracking custom VAST calls.
